How to be popular??? Please help!?

Welll I really like this guy but he's kind of popular and almost every girl likes him. I'm not acsactly popular, because I'm shy. And I think some of the popular people don't like me because I can't say the "R" letter... soo like when I say car it sounds like caw. D: plz help? and don't say " Just be your self!" or you don't want to be popular! Because I get tht everyday. Thanks again <3
