Why don't my chickens lay as much as eggs as my uncle's chickens?

i have three polish chickens and they are like a year old and i have one silkie who is about 3 years old. i gave my uncle three polish chickens (when i bought my polish chickens it came in 15 chicks and i gave three of them to my uncle and i kept three and ii gave the rest away). so my polish chickens are the same exact age as his. we give them the same exact food and we care for them the same way. my chickens lay like 3 eggs a week and his chickens each lay 1 egg a day. why dont mine lay that many eggs? the only thing thats different is that they have a proper chicken coup with a box to lay their eggs. is that why? i dont have room in my yard to build a chicken coop
