Can a 10 year old cook scrambeled eggs by himself?

My 10- yr old brother doesnt want to make his own food...he is scared of the stove, and he is afraid it will explode. we have tried to make him make his own food. he also doesnt even want to go to the chicken coop because he doesnt want to go...when he was 5 he was scared of them. He cut his own hot dogs to put it on his eggs( we are mexican like that..lol) but he doesnt want to scarmbble his eggs or either cook them.. some help please???!!
